It is very annoying to get into a document that you have placed on a public server only to find out that someone within the company has found it before you were able to lock it from being changed. There has got to be a way through using document management that as soon as a document is placed on a public access area that it becomes locked to users other than the original creator. Others should be able to make changes to a duplicate copy but not of your original work. Sure, comments are welcome, but not to change the work that I did by myself.
