Marriage counseling is not a quick solution, but can be a new beginning.
Divorce is a difficult time and there a significant change that take place. Couples engaged in a power struggle are often very critical of one another. The duration of marriage could be anything from a few months to seventy-plus years and it is easily the biggest commitment you will ever make. It can have equally negative consequences whether it is acted out upon or repressed. A marriage counselor must seek effective methods to deal with the issue of anger to assist couples in their quest to develop a loving, supportive and long-lasting relationship. Christian people believe marriage is a covenant agreement, meaning once we are married, we are bound to our marriage partner; it is more than a contract that can be broken if the "conditions" are not met-it is binding, forever! However, when analyzed criticisms can be extremely valuable sources of information and can help couples to gain new understanding and insight into themselves, their partners and their relationship. Marriage counseling is not an easy or quick fix solution, but it can be a new beginning - and it is definitely worth your while. If you have trouble affording counseling, some communities have free or low cost counseling programs.
