WYSIWYG vs. Hand-Coding Pages

With hand-coding pages, you know exactly what you’re going to get each time.  Also, since you’re speaking your web site’s native language, you’re in a better position to fix any problems that crop up later on.  The catch is that it can take a very long time to hand code an entire web site.  wysiwyg web design software is much faster.  The increase in speed does come at some cost, however.  WYSIWYG applications tend to stick in unneeded code.  It also tends to cost more.  In the end, however, WYSIWYG and non-WYSIWYG software have their place and proper use, and one type isn’t likely to replace the other.
