Long Term Care Insurance: Eligibility Requirements Concerning ADL

Often long term care insurance benefits are available if you are unable to function normally. Activities of Daily Living (ADL) restriction refers to the amount of hindrance you experience when attempting to perform everyday activities. If you cannot bathe, dress, groom yourself, or move about your residence without someone literally helping you to move your arms or legs or holding on to you then you are viewed as more eligible  to receive long term care insurance benefits. If someone only has to instruct  or assist you verbally, then you may not be deemed eligible for benefits.
