If you have passed your interior design courses, perhaps you are ready to tackle an interior design job all of your own.  It may not be that easy to get your own interior design job without references.  You are better off to offer your services to some people, even friends and family, for free so that they can be used as references.  Once you have references and some experience under your belt, you can bid for interior design jobs.  You can place ads in the paper as well as attend home décor shows.  You are going to have to get your name out to the public in some way in order to find clientele.  Once you get an interior design job, you can then work off of word of mouth advertising, but until then, you will have to rely on friends, family and chance meetings to get yourself established in the world of interior design.
